Simple PHP Poll v2

No, not yet

That's the last time I'm ever going to commit my life to a release date. SPP2 will be released, a little later. Maybe later today? I doubt it. There are many more hours I WANT to put into this thing. I have the layout set up and I have everything how I want it, but now I still need to recreate my entire code from scratch. See how tough it is? Plus, I have a Christmas, too. ;) So *NOT YET*.

It will be ready on December 25th

There, I said it. The next major version of Simple PHP Poll will be released at 5:00 US Eastern Standard Time (4:00 Central).

There's nothing really more to say. You'll just have to see for yourself. :D

Happy Holidays,
X-Fi6

Yet some more updates

OK it's about time I stopped talking in third-person and stopped saying "we" because to be honest, I'm the only one in this project.

Let me lay down a few things:
Not only will my writing style be back in first-person (yay, more friendliness), but also my coding style has completely changed, as well.

When I look back at my old work, I think, wow, this is ugly. Why did I make XXXX like this? Etc..... It's hard to get into further detail without rambling, so I'll stop here.

The next version of Simple PHP Poll will feature a much better organized system with a *slightly* functional Languages and Themes managing. Though it won't be available to edit right in the control panel (it will in the VERY NEXT release right after it, though!!), you will still at least be able to make some manual edits yourself.

And one last thing: the coding of the main site and pretty much everything will be in valid XHTML 1.1 (though in Simple PHP Poll, you will be able to set the rendering of each poll—yes, I said "each"—to either valid HTML 4.01 or valid XHTML 1.0/1.1).

OK, and with all of that out of the way, yes, there will be WORKING forums with the next release of Simple PHP Poll, and I will fix all of the pages and add actual content to them.

Speaking of content, I'm going to be posting more messages like these, not *daily*, but a lot. :) Keep reading the posts below for more info.

FINALLY!! We are BACK!

After a loooong time of inactivity, we are finally back.

The reason for this is because there was a hard drive failure which halted progress on anything for a massive amount of time.

After eventually finding a backup of everything we needed to start over with, we were able to reconnect to our site and start development on Simple PHP Poll again.

My apologies to everyone. If it makes you feel any better, Simple PHP Poll was in the middle of a complete redesign before the crash, and now although we did lose the source code for all of our work, we have the main layout of where everything needs to go. This means that the next release should be in about a month from now.

If you want to wait on downloading because of this, or you want to try out other people's scripts, that is perfectly fine with us.
